Variant Cover Registers

A variant register answers a simple question: is this file a new chapter or a new costume for the same chapter? For Marvel NFT comics, motion frames and metallic treatments often ship days apart. We pin every treatment to one beat ID from the parent story arc index.

The register lists artist credit when publicly stated, treatment type, and whether the interior pages match the standard file. If interiors differ—an extra pinup, a recut lettering pass—we flag the difference so a completionist can decide whether both files matter to the plot.

This work is bibliographic. It does not grade condition, because digital files do not crease. It does not forecast aftermarket value. Collectors who inspect variants on Veve do so on that site; our register only names which beat they belong to.
